Makeup Haul

Last week I paid a visit to Superdrug (a drugstore in the UK for anyone not in the know) because I needed to repurchase my favourite liquid liner from Collection. In the end, I left with an additional few items I hadn’t intended on buying. It was all very impromptu. But isn’t that always the way? It certainly is for me. I can never not just buy one thing when it comes to makeup. The temptation is too great. Such a hardship, I tell you.

(Left to right: NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Colour in 031 ‘Gramercy¬†Park Plum’, MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in ‘Dare’ and ‘Kooky’, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 ‘Transparent’, and Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in ‘Black’.)

I had been wanting to try out the MUA lip lacquers for a while, and every time I’d find myself in a Superdrug I would gravitate towards the MUA display, so I just decided that day to get two out of the ten shades from their line that I imagined I would wear the most. A first impression and full review of these will be coming very soon.

The NYC lip crayon was just something I happened to swatch on the back of my hand and I ended up adoring the colour and knew I needed to have it. Since buying it, it’s been the only colour I’ve been wearing on my lips. It’s a beautiful raspberry shade, despite being described as plum. Don’t be surprised if its in my November favourites.

The powder and liquid liner are both items I’ve purchased time and again and are definitely holy grail products for me. You’ll never not find them in my makeup bag! If a blog post on the rest of my holy grail products, or even a what’s in my makeup bag, might interest you let me know in the comment section below.

Right, I’m off to put up my Christmas tree. Excited!
